The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald
Well, what can I say about this one. Hmm. This is a novel, yes a novel, about millionaire Gatsby and how he longs to find his woman. Despite the free-for-all all night party held in his mansion, most of which are gate crasher, many people still cannot fathom Gatsby. The storyteller was privileged to know his lover, knowing him in the process. But, the author, a literary style maybe, in an unexpected fashion (at least for a non-literary person like me) suddenly had the story ended, leading to the death of Gatsby, and the death of Gatsby’s lover’s husband’ mistress. This is the time when Gatsby and his lover is about to declare to the whole world that they love each other (and she is ready to abandoned her marriage). That’s it, a tragic story.
